The KRG Transportation Department invites you to come meet a national hero, Captain Robert Piché!
Captain Robert Piché marked Canadian aviation history in 2001 working as an Air Transat pilot. He saved 360 lives by landing his plane safely, after the aircraft experienced severe malfunction over the Atlantic Ocean.
He will be at the Kuujjuaq Airport Terminal Building from 7:00pm to 9:00pm on Thursday, September 11, to speak about his experience, in a free event sponsored by the KRG and Air Inuit.
Press Release: Gasoline Program and Beneficiary Discount Card
Kuujjuaq, Québec, September 10, 2014 – The Kativik Regional Government (KRG) and the Makivik Corporation made an important announcement today concerning the Gasoline Program. Starting October 1, the Program will only apply to beneficiaries of the James Bay and Northern Québec Agreement (JBNQA), who will be required to present a new Beneficiary Discount Card when making their gasoline purchases.
Cirqiniq Summer Camp: Success in Puvirnituq!
Kuujjuaq, Québec, July 10, 2014 – Limitless creativity, amazing experience and incredibly talented young artists are the appropriate words to describe the fifth annual Cirqiniq summer camp organized by the Recreation Department of the Kativik Regional Government (KRG) in Puvirnituq from July 1 to 8, 2014. Over 25 youth from across Nunavik, aged between 13 and 17 years old, attended the training week and astonished the crowd with their acrobatics during the Final Show on July 7.>
