A New Image for the Sanajiit Project
With the 2017 construction season just around the corner, the Kativik Regional Government’s (KRG) Sanajiit Project has revamped its image with a brand new logo.
A new image
The idea is to reach out to more Nunavimmiut who are interested in working in construction and to create a sense of belonging between the members of the Sanajiit Project in Nunavik. The word sanajiit means “builders” in Inuktitut; it is a local workforce which takes its strength from its unity, its collectivism, and its autonomy. The new logo design is representative of the region, promotes gender equality in the construction trades, and spotlights our strong interest in worker skills development through mentoring.
A new construction season
The Sanajiit Project is in the midst of an intense preparation period. In the last months, various training courses have been offered. The recruitment phase is now beginning, as construction projects will resume shortly.
Nunavimmiut wishing to become involved in the construction industry are encouraged to contact the Sanajiit Project through Facebook, by visiting the KRG web page on the Project or by calling toll free 1‑877‑964‑2961.
